- Forge-heated Chisel

- Mouse

Testing Log:
Week 1 – Finally putting the blueprints to work... must visit the smith for a cannonball and some scrap metal. Will hollow out the cannonball and make it suitable for Evert to run round in. Must make note to visit the glass-smith, too. So glad that Alrania is for the time being a land of peace, otherwise a cannonball would be dreadfully hard to come by.

Bought six cannonballs, just in case there’s a mistake. I think Peter thinks I’m preparing for war. Apologies, Joan, but your brother truly is not the brightest star in the sky...

Sure enough, made first mistake: cannonball split improperly despite being plied with heat along the intended fracture line. Placing whole ball in forge for a brief moment achieved best desired results.

Cut myself on the glass window I was making for Evert’s escape hatch. Hoping Ari stocked her healing salve today, though wish the visit weren’t under these circumstances.
